Does history tells us the truth? is it relevant?

What I have to say some people won't like but I'm gonna say it anyways. The schools teach the students many things but sometimes many wrong things, they cover up facts that would show something or someone to not be as good a person or idea. You must also think that. History books get re-writen many times so people may change or leave somethings out or add new things.
