Is there a danger in venting an electric dryer up one floor from basement into the existing dryer vent on the?

main floor. The dryer in basement can't be vented d/t concrete walls. Would the lint actually travel that far up, (Very high ceiling in basement) or would the lint get stuck and cause a fire hazard. A licensed contractor told me that it can be vented this way
