Smoke coming out of 05 impala?

while i was driving today the "hot coolant temp" came on and white smoke started spewing out of the hood as well as through the ac vents in the car, with a foul smell. when i pulled it over rust colored fluid(coolant?) was spilling out everywhere underneath the car. and when my father-in-law was checkin the fluids he said it smelled like the coolant was mixed into the oil a bit. does anyone know what kind of repair im lookin at?
