Can I reuse the poaching liquid I poached quinces in to poach more questions?

I poached some quinces and have lots of left over liquid (specifically i poached them in sugared water and one life cut in half) can I reuse the same liquid to poach another batch of quinces (as quinces are in season, delicious but do require that i waste a lot of sugar if I can't reuse the poaching liquid).
